I’m April, the face behind the logo. I’m a Michigan girl at heart, raised in Southern California. I live by the beach, south of Los Angeles, with my 4 sweet kids (2 teens and 2 toddlers!). I create expressive and energetic live paintings, realistic landscapes and florals through mindful layers of oil paint.

From a very young age, I developed a deep connection with creating art. After preschool, it was my “quiet time”. My mom tells me I would lock myself in the playroom and color and draw for hours on end. These days, I consider myself semi-self-taught. I began college as a Studio Art major, but finished with a degree in Sociology. Before rediscovering my love of oil painting during COVID-lockdown in 2020, I worked in the wellness industry as a holistic nutritionist and Pilates/fitness instructor for over 15 years. I still keep my toe in the fitness world, teaching a few classes a week at my local gym.

You can usually find me either at the gym or in my home studio, with a little one nearby, inspired by the beautiful world around me!
